This is a question we get asked a lot so I thought I would share the origins here. Neil comes from a family of mechanical engineers who fancy themselves as pretty handy with the tools and good at fixing things around the house. After plenty of cursing and banging however things are usually so well "fixed" that a trip to the hardware store is necessary in order to buy a new one.
